# User Centered Design
User Centered Design (UCD) is a design methodology that puts the user at the center of the design and development process. This means that the design focuses on the needs, expectations, desires and limitations of the end users.
At DCU, designers work to deeply understand users and their needs, through observation, interviews, data analysis, etc. From there, solutions are developed that fit the needs of the user.
Advantages of involving the user in the design process
- It ensures that the design is aligned with the real needs of the user.
- Improves usability and user experience.
- Reduce technical debt, saving time and resources.
- It generates a stronger and more meaningful connection between the user and the solution.
By putting the user at the center of the design process, the end result is more likely to be relevant, effective, and satisfying to the user.
